Us vs Us

The Apostle Paul. We all know his stories and the letters to the 7 churches of his time. In these letters one thing sticks out larger than most, The unyielding love and compassion of Christ. I chose the verse of Romans 8:31 where Paul addresses the believers of Rome and expresses how we shouldn't be worried about anything in this world that condemns or stands against us. In modern day it may seem like Christians are under constant attack, and some political opinions only allow for an even stronger stance against the beliefs we hold.

Our daily cross is simply living life in a world where true Christians have become the minority. Now i know what you're thinking here. Christians the minority? With 2.4 billion over the entire world what can i possibly be talking about right? Well its simple. Some Christians are dead in spirit. Yes i said it, i know. That is a hard strike and I'm sure egos are already building up as a response but i cant tell you this with utmost confidence. I. Do. Not. Care.

We all know people who think that Sundays are an obligation to attend to feel good and clear their week only to go right back to the same behavior and repeat next week. Or many people have those in their life that fire off judgement for any and everything done and respond in incredibly ugly ways and their personalities have the stench of high and mighty. Now you're wondering what does this have to do with this verse I just posted? I'm merely getting to this. True Christians are not only under attack from the people who hate us, and non believers, but we are also under attack from the many who claim this faith and attack us because we don't follow tradition or rules set in place by different churches and denominations using our bible to destroy our faith.

The enemy uses even our own words against us. So to top this off and wrap it up. Athiests, Non-Believers, and many of our own people will be against us and fight us about what is right and whats wrong, and how we're supposed to be in our faith. God gave us the word and Christ gave us the chance. So when they all stand against and tell you that you have to do this or that to go to heaven remember. Christ told us how and thats all that matters. Focus on your relationship with Him and abide by the commandments he set. Leave the tradition at the door.
